Comment Moderation is On

Due to a sudden tsunami of asian porn comment spam, I've enabled comment registration and moderation on the blog. My idea of a good time isn't removing the same spam comment from 30 posts in one afternoon. Hopefully, this won't be too big of an imposition on the folks who do leave the occasional comment.

Yes, thank you for removing the "junk," one of which showed up briefly under the Wednesday Paperback Cover posting. Of course, if anyone wanted to order some rather provocative toys, the "junk" comment would lead one to a rather sordid catalogue. The bottom line, though, is . . . you earn my applause when you block such content. Well done!

Man, you aren't kidding. I just got hit with that too, and so have lots of bloggers I know. It hit us all at once. I sure hope blogger gets on top of it.

What, Korean teen girls dressed up as cops? Hot Japanese barely legal prison inmates sexually intimidating the prison guard population? Nathan, give me some answers, man!

Keith,

I don't know exactly. I was at work when I noticed it, and I don't really fancy getting fired. The only English words in the post were "18" "Sexy" and "Sex." I didn't follow any of the links when I got home because A: You don't really need help to find dirty pictures on the net and B: I'm not a fan of spyware.

Nathan,

I am not a fan of you getting fired either and to be honest with you, I've never experienced the spam thing on my blog. Plus, I think Asian porn (or any porn for that matter.)is hilarious.
