The publishers of Out of the Gutter have gone into the paperback publishing business. Initial offerings include one from John D. MacDonald as well as a collection of the best of the first three issues of Out of The Gutter, which is taking submissions for Issue 7, the US. vs. UK issue.

Out of the Gutter 2

I have been under a lot of stress lately because of a situation that is out of my control, and consequently I've been unable to concentrate on any one thing for a sustained period of time. Thank God issue 2 of Out of The Gutter arrived today. I'm free to pick it up and flip around to anything that catches the attention of my poor, fevered brain.
OOTG 2 looks a little more polished than the first outing, and it's got a new flash fiction section, and whores. There are a lot of whores in this issue, as editor Matthew Louis is quick to point out in his intro. Don't see how that can be a bad thing.
Oh, and John Rickards, in case you were wondering, is going straight to hell when he dies.

Out of The Gutter Rocks

I've got to hand it to the folks at Out of the Gutter Magazine. They've put together a helluva fun package with great content. I haven't read it all yet, but I've got to say Victor Gischler's story Final Tally, is worth the price of admission all by itself. It starts with a guy who kills someone for leaving a grocery cart in the middle of a parking space. Let me tell you, I know where Gischler got the inspiration for that one. People who leave their goddamn grocery carts in the middle of the parking lot are the lowest of the low. I Hate Them. Great Story.
