Almodovar to Direct Tartantula

I missed this, but Pedro Almodovar is going to direct an adaptation of Tarantula by Thierry Jonquet. Jonquet's novel has been translated from French into English by Donald Nicholson-Smith, who is also responsible for translating a couple of Jean-Patrick Manchette's novels into English.
Tarantula sounds like an S & M affair, and Almodovar has experience with tht sort of thing.
